Carmela

I can never decide if her name is Carmella or Carmela.

ADDITIONAL INFO:

Purpose: she functions as the closest thing to a villain that my Jimmy/Edgar stories have. Her job is to completely fuck up everything that was good in Jimmy's life. She marries Jimmy's father, who is 50 and still fairly dashing, when Jimmy is 14. After living with them for a few months, things get weird. This is where "Jocasta Complex" comes into play. Carmella likes power, and she learned at a young age that the only real power available to a lower class woman is sex. Her first boyfriend was the richest boy at school, in highschool, and she ragged on his every motion until he all but lost interest in breathing. God only knows what would have happened if she'd been born a boy.

There's no particular tragedy in her life that makes her what she is. She's cruel by nature, a bit sadistic in fact, and she takes every oportunity to flaunt her power over the nearest man in her life. In essence, she rapes Jimmy. It's a complicated story, but suffice to say it messes him up plenty good. Her hatred for men is ultimately what fosters Jimmy's hatred for women--a cycle is born, in many ways.

Status: alive in both universes

Origin: "Eternity in a Pickle Jar", in which she was an off screen character.

So, I drew this in class and I was like, why waste a perfectly good character sketch? Besides, Chokopoppo was going to write a fic with her in it (even though she gave up on it) and I've been thinking about her appearance ever since.
